This gross old septic tank and field had been re-worked by someone

Had a lid made from rotting boards and plastic shown in background

And the failing field was jury rigged with "big - o" drainage pipe

This "weekend special" system used 6 ft of perforated rings surrounded by gravel. Only thing is we dug an inspection hole nearby and found evidence of water table at 5 ft. People who don't know what they are doing end up polluting our water. This is a good reason to have installer certification. It should have been done properly in the first place
